Accessibility?
The cottages have a small step into the property. The lower level for the lounge and kitchen is on a level surface. The bathroom and toilet are on the first floor accessed via a steep set of stairs along with 2 double bedrooms. The third bedroom with twin beds is situated on the 2nd floor again via a steep set of stairs.
The Lodge has 4 steps to reach the decking area making the property not fully accessible for wheelchair users. All rooms are on one level though, but door ways are a standard size and would not be suitable for a wheelchair.
Smoking?
There is strictly no smoking or vaping allowed in any of the properties. If you smoke outside at the lodge please do not stub cigarettes out on decking or the outdoor furniture. Don’t leave stubs on the floor at any of the properties.
Pets?
Pets are not allowed in any of the properties for any reason during your stay.
Checking in?
The check-in time is strictly 16:00pm. This allows for the property to be cleaned and made ready for new guests, please do not arrive before 16:00 you will not be able to access the properties before this time. Two days before your arrival date, if you have completed the security deposit, you will receive an email with the key box code. The key boxes are next to the front door at the cottages. At the Lodge the key box situated at the side of the decking accessed along the grass verge. There is no need to check-in at the sites reception for the lodge.
Checking Out?
The check-out time is strictly 10:00am, this allows our cleaning team to prepare the property for the next guests. When checking out please strip all used beds, leave the dishwasher open and empty and dispose of any used bin bag in the main bins which are opposite the glamping pods in the lodge and outside the cottages. Please lock all doors and place the keys back into the key box.
Wi-Fi?
On arrival at the Lodge, you will find a welcome pack that has the free Wi-Fi connection and password.
Your Prearrival emails for the cottages will have Wifi details included.
What to bring?
The properties provide all bedding, tea towels, and bathmats. You will need to bring your own towels. The cottage has a highchair and travel cot (no bedding is supplied for this) but the lodge does not due to space and storage. When visiting the lodge we suggest you bring a torch if you are arriving in the dark. The site has poor lighting.
Parking?
The lodge has 2 car parking spaces directly in front of the decking. Please do not use the area by the main site bins as this is for the glamping pods. We ask that you do not use the lodge to charge electric vehicles. Each cottage has a parking space directly in front of the property (the permit is not required for this spot) A visitors parking permit is also provided with the cottages which allows parking for specified local roads, check the permit for these locations. (Please ensure parking permits are returned prior to departure).
Facilities?
All the properties are centrally heated. The lodge uses gas bottles and heating is managed by a Hive system.
Lodge - There is no shop or entertainment area based on the site. However, there is a children’s playground and family area located past the site’s office building. The nearest shop and petrol station is 12 minutes away, SPAR Threshfield, BD23 5PL. This is open Monday to Friday, 7am to 10pm. There is free Wifi, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and fully equipped kitchen. All bedrooms have TV's and there is a hairdryer in the main bedroom. The utility room has a ironing board, Iron and vacuum cleaner. The decking area has outside seating and tables.
Cottages - The cottages are in the heart of Windermere town close to shops, bars, cafe's and restaurants. There is free Wifi, dishwasher, microwave, iron and fully equipped kitchen. All bedrooms have TV's and the main bedroom has a hairdryer.
BBQ's?
There is no BBQ at the lodge and due to the composite decking use of them is prohibited. The cottage have no garden or dedicated outdoor space.
